_{That truly makes her smile: sincere, grateful. “I like the way you talk.” Becca mumbled, a small flattery exchange for the support. It reminded her that there was a world outside of Hawkins. Detroit, Boston… Worse, but sure there’s better. 
After a long silence, she decided to find some sort of atonement or, at least, a confirmation. “I punched him.” Becca licked her lips and shrugged a bit. “When I heard him talking about me, I punched him.” you can only imagine how poorly he was talking about her for Becca ( a wrestler? a pushover!! ) to punch him right in the face. “I shouldn’t have. But…” Becca sighed and shook her head. “How can you handle being heartbroken without punching someone or crying in front of everybody?”}

_{Becca shrugged like it truly didn’t hurt. And maybe it doesn’t, anymore. She either learns to be pragmatic about her heartache or she will sink. And she has no time for that. She has exams to pass, trainings to enjoy, a whole life to live. “Won’t be the first time a boy dates a girl he doesn’t care about. Won’t be the last time, either.” She only regretted telling him all about her family and her past. People assumed she LIED. She didn’t. But it’s not like they are willing to believe her, anymore.}
